Problem

Pyramid Educational Consultants was undergoing a rapid global expansion with poorly designed, outdated company websites. Additionally, the dated back-end architecture created additional barriers for international offices with non-English speaking staff, increasing expenses and delays. A comprehensive rebrand of Pyramid's front-end plus a complete transformation of back-end systems were necessary to scale effectively.

Solution

Our team at the management company, Pyramid Global Partners, designed a modular, scalable WordPress framework that could be rapidly deployed internationally. The objective was to design a modern, mobile-friendly site design that improved user experience and streamlined the booking experience and product purchases. Additionally, the new backend system had to be easily translated and manageable by small teams to maintain 100% brand compliance with minimal technical overhead.

Execution

We first conceptualized a more effective content organization to improve information clarity. From this new outline, I wireframed the initial website design. This was adapted to a custom WordPress child theme based upon a branch of Divi. This enabled us to meet niche business requirements while still taking advantage of popular WordPress plugins for easier upkeep and management by small teams. The rebranded and responsive website first launched with the USA office in 2017, followed by a gradual rollout to the other 14 global offices over the next two years, adjusting for translation and different regional marketing and legal needs.
