Solution
To ensure compliance with French web accessibility law, the Pyramid France office consulted with an outside local design agency to draft a new brand look and layout for its website. These wireframe and new brand color schemes would then be built into an updated WordPress theme by our Pyramid Global Partners team. Updated and streamlined back-end processes were included into this integration, allowing for later release on other Pyramid global websites over time. Conversion of the design had to meet French law standards while also integrating into existing systems and customer data, for a smooth transition of both user accounts and office admin management.
Execution
Our team started fresh with a new Divi child theme to ensure no bloat from outdated features of the old website theme. Designs and core site functions were built with accessibility in mind not only for front-end user experience, but for France office admins to easily update and refine website content to effeciently adapt to shifts in business needs. We coordinated with the French designers to follow the Figma wireframes and adapt the layout within the constraints of the WordPress and Divi systems.
New features to improve user experience including a workshop favoriting feature, streamlined menu modifications for admins, and a smoother workshop registration process, were added. The final website followed required design and accessibility spec while also improving site loadtimes and mobile experience.
